Public Procurement
Public Procurement is defined by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development as the purchase by Government and state-owned enterprises of goods, services and works. Use of public procurement as a powerful and strategic policy tool to target growth and job creation. This program helps create and transmit the skills and competencies on public sector management. This enables public servants to effectively design, implement and evaluate policies and interventions in the current digital era required to enable the country to achieve high income status by 2036.
Learning Outcomes
- Participants will recognize the importance of applying rules and procedures under the Public Procurement Act and Regulations
- Participants will apply the rules and procedures under the Public Procurement Act and Regulations when initiating public procurement.
- Participants will where applicable apply international best, within the ambit of the public procurement law, for selection of suppliers, contractors and service providers
