Contract Management

This course provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of contract management within the public procurement environment. It covers the principles, legal framework, and regulatory requirements governing contract management in Botswana, including the enabling legislation and procurement processes that support effective contract administration. Participants will develop practical skills in contract planning, preparation, negotiation, award, administration, monitoring, and close-out, while gaining an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of key contract management stakeholders. The course also addresses supplier relationship management, risk management, public-private partnership contracts, service level agreements, ethics in contract management, and the use of contract management systems, frameworks, registers, and templates. By the end of the course, participants will be equipped to manage contracts effectively throughout their lifecycle, ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and achieve value for money in public procurement.
