Contract Management
This course equips the relevant public servants with the responsibility to ensure that a procuring entity keeps and maintains an effective and efficient contract management system in accordance with the provisions of Section 42 of the Public Procurement Act. In addition, it also ensure there is effective management of contracts for the procurement of goods, services or works; performance, in line with the contract.
Learning Outcomes
- Participants will administer, monitor, and manage the execution and performance of contract scope, cost and time.
- Participants will understand good ethical behaviour and mitigation of integrity risks in contract management
- Participants will explain the 3 phases of the contract administration process: preparation, administration, and close-out.
- Participants will execute specific tasks required in contract administration like performance monitoring techniques, identifying red flags and the process for handling disputes and terminating a contract
