Programme Management
This module provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of programme management, covering the roles and responsibilities of a programme manager, the distinctions between project and programme management, and the factors that contribute to programme success or failure. Participants will gain practical knowledge of the programme life cycle, including initiation, planning, implementation, monitoring and control, closure, as well as essential skills in budgeting, resource allocation, financial management, risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and control. The module further explores programme monitoring and evaluation to ensure effective performance measurement and achievement of objectives, while also examining reporting frameworks and arrangements within the Government of Botswana, particularly in relation to programmes aimed at improving key sectors such as healthcare, education, and infrastructure.
